GET TO KNOW: CARINA WITTHOEFT

As most of you know Carina Witthoeft is a German Tennis Player - who we incredibly adore! She is our everything & our inspiration. She currently lives in Hamburg, and also grew up there. Her parents Gaby and Kai Witthöft are owners of 'Tennis Witthöft', a tennis academy in Hamburg where we often see Carina practicing at during her free days. She is currently coached by Jonas Lutjen, who is a club level based tennis player, where he is based in Hamburg as well. Her sister Jennifer Witthöft also plays tennis, at a more fun and local level, she is currently studying fashion management at University in Hamburg, she has been a huge support of Carina! In 2009, Carina began her professional career playing ITF tournaments in Germany. Since then has reached a career high of No.48 in the world & has a WTA title to her name (Luxembourg 2017). She has made it to the 3RD of all slams on several occasions. Some of her career highlights include:

- 1st WTA Title at LUXEMBOURG 2017

- Round 3 at all slams, on several occasions

- Reached career world ranking of Number 48, achieved in January 2018.

- 11 ITF Titles

- In 2012 played first main draw WTA event at Bastad, Sweden.

- Got to play Kerber (No.1 at the time) at AO 2017 pushing her to three-sets and played Serena Williams at US Open 2018.
